You may request any editor. If they’re unavailable, another editor will be assigned based on your project’s genre and needs.
Katharine Carlon has been working with emerging writers for more than 20 years, helping their words jump off the page as a nationally award-winning journalist and as a writing coach. She has helped reporters become award winners themselves, guided authors through novels and memoirs, and mined for gold in the slush piles of literary journals.
Her developmental approach blends deep narrative insight with compassionate, candid guidance that sharpens voice, structure and clarity. Whether shaping early concepts, refining character and theme, or strengthening full drafts, Katharine brings a storyteller’s ear and an editor’s precision to every project.

With a background in journalism and a strong foundation in higher education—including an MA in Writing from Johns Hopkins University—she has also taught English Composition and writing courses at colleges and through continuing education programs. Ellen brings a passion for language precision, sound pedagogy, and inclusive communication to every project she undertakes.
